Mekhela Chador

A classic Assamese dress Mekhela Chador is worn by women of all age groups except children. There exists a special style of draping it to let the dress lend grace and splendor to the woman. In the bottom portion of the body, the mekhela is draped with some pleats formation and the wide cylindrical cloth is tucked inside the waist.
